My Co-Op application was accepted!!!
Ahhhh! This is the best thing thats happened to me all year. Straight uppp.
In other news, I'm a failure at life in the sense that all I do in my spare time is sleep. If my roomate gave me mono I'll be soooo pissed.
This week shouldn't be too bad.

I hate this stupid cold weather. I think I have some weird eye infection or something like that. Luckily all my friends are stoners or ex-stoners so theres lots of visine variety for me to use. I'm also getting a stupid cold or something. Literally everyone I know is sick. I need a hair cut and for my new glasses to come in. I keep missing my 10:20 class because I'm incapable of waking up at 9am- which is pathetic.
I am grumpy.

Decided that this journal is going to be for my personal benefit of writing down my days and not necessarily for anyone to read considering most of the stories contain events that whoever would read this were there for.
So the "mucho drinkage" I referred to earlier definitely did end up being that. Unfortunately I do not recall most of the evening. I didn't puke and woke up feeling fine (amazingly enough) however due to the scare of not knowing my limits I decided to be the designated driver last night. When I told some friends this they were like "mehhhh Rachel no way are you going to be successful DD, baaaaah you can't not drink" but ha! proved them wrong and pulled it off very successfully. Went out with Robyn and Caitlin and Caitlin's roomates, one of whom ended the night by vomiting out of my car into a fire department parking lot. Surpsingly enough going to a party and not drinking was actually fun (pft who knew) but not something I'd want to do frequently haha
Today was a pretty boring day except for my adventure over to Fowlerville for a lover's tryst with Liz :]
Then I watched Sabrina, took a 2 hour nap, and woke up craving ice cream sandwiches. I settled for almonds.
Everyone was allegedly busy or tired or hanging out with ex girlfriends (wtffff gaeb) so I spent the remainder of the evening watching youtube videos and finishing Sabrina.... and obviously updating my lj.
Because of my nap I'm not tired, which sucks because I'm pretty sure I've watched every interesting thing on the internet/ don't feel like watching a movie/ have no one to hang out with, laaame!
Its 11:30 on a saturday guhh I need everyone else to move in!
Wildly exciting side note: I started House of Leaves but so far its just confusing and lame. I really just want to read some super trashy novel lacking literary value before classes start. Something about like shopping or a beach vacation.
I start work tomorrow. I'm working at the "Ciao!" station which is like pizza and sandwiches I guess. I'm mildly excited because starting a new job/ going to work makes me feel better about myself, at least in the beginning. Even though I'll probably make a total fool of myself because I don't know shit about lunch meats and can't tell bologna from ham from turkey (do people put turkey on sandwiches?!?)

Notes on MSU year two!
Waking up at 6am was ridiculous. I sat in "training" for close to 5 hours watching horrible videos and getting a extremely thorough tour of the cafeteria. Howeverrr haha I decided to not pay attention for the most important part- where you clock in...oops. Maybe it was because the tour guide, nicknamed "BA" for Beth Anne, was an upsidedown triangular shaped chubby ginger with a lisp...4 stikes!
My weekly schedule is nice though and I only work in the dish room one day for 4 hours.
Mason Hall is pretty awesome. I have my own closet and the bathrooms are muuuuch better than Brody bathrooms. The showers in particular are much improved. The furniture is cute and old style. My ocean mist scented reed diffuser is working at full capacity. Tried to fb Clarissa about the lofts because I'd really like to get that taken care of but shes yet to respond.
I am exhausted and I'm going to take a nap. Mucho drinkage tonight I do believe :]
Btw, I am enjoying this shitty weather because I get to wear my Betsey Johnson jacket and new hat :]

So move in day was wildly exhausting. I broke my first day curse (knock on wood!) which is awesome!
Leaving home was actually a little more difficult this year than last...as much as I can remember anyway.
I have to wake up at like 6am tomorrow OH MY GODDDD
sooo I'll wait until then to divulge all the interesting things about my room/Mason Hall

My roommate is an eccentric christian complete with "daily bible verses" on facebook and activer in her pro-life beliefs.
I also found out that my job at the lab will no longer be paying me, oh but they'd still love for me to work there.
Ughhhhhhhh I give up.

Sooo, thus far in Bellaire
1. Travis (Lindsey's boyfriend) damn near set the kitchen on fire...
2. The plumbing in the bathroom has mysteriously rerouted to make everything in the toilet come up through the shower drain
3. Lindsey and Travis flooded the laundry room
4. I seriously considered checking into a motel near by
In good news, my Aunt Cheryl is getting married to Dave!! I like him very much and I've never had an Uncle Dave before :] I already asked if I could call him Uncle Dave haha
That stupid baby (which I guess is my second cousin) will be here tomorrow, gaaah. Its 7th months old and just started grabbing glasses and jewlery and noses
On a funny note, the grocery store here, which is about a 30 minute drive away, doesn't sell avacados or any other "exotic" produce baha

I decided to get in touch with my maternal instinct today and hold the baby for the first time (and stop calling him "it") So my mom gave me Lincoln and he sat on my lap and started crying. Fail.

At prom 2009: Mailen Staulter wore the prom dress I wore last year, except shortened, in coral, and looking utterly mediocre on her.

I feel I should give a "First Week of Summer" update. However, the main reson I use this is to update the back-home kids, and since I'm back home there isn't a point.
Anywho!
I got a job, Little Caesars, blaaaah. Its better than no job though? I'm going to keep looking because I don't think I can handle 3 months of pizza.
I also got a membership to the YMCA in Milford and will be swimming/working out there hopefully routinely.
I enjoyed my trip to Troy/East Lansing very much.
Hmmm, all in all I've watched wayyy to many movies...bah
